It appears that life is passing me by faster than ever before, and it is only every now and then that I seem to grab a piece of it. I wake up in the morning, fall out of bed, stumble off to work, come home, and potter around for a bit, back into bed, just for the cycle to repeat over and over again.
I was highly irritated when interrupted at work last week, thinking in the back of my mind that I do not have the time for chitchat, when I most sternly informed about burnout, fatigue and excessive hours being worked. I did feel quite like an idiot afterwards, because I remember staring at the person, feeling the frown on my forehead, thinking what on earth is he on about, when he asked me out of the blue what I think the time was. "Two o' clock" I replied, temper simmering close to the surface because I was snapped at NOT to look at the computer time. It was already six thirty in the evening...

I have realised today that I cannot remember what I did last weekend; in fact, I can barely remember what I did on Saturday. I was caned last week – my bottom was quite keen to keep on reminding me, but I have to think very carefully on what day it was. I thought I booked my airplane ticket to the UK two or three weeks back, but in reality, it was two months ago.

I was very proud of myself, thinking that I have caught up with all my reading (blogs), when I realised, I have missed about five to six days again. I was telling everyone that I watched the movie “Thor” last week, but that was the week before. I nearly missed my dad’s birthday, because I did not realise we were in the month of May. I am looking at people at work, wondering why they are wearing two sets of clothes on one day, when reality struck me that they are not. I wanted to argue about submitting a board report, because I just had done one, when I was gently reminded that another month has gone past.

So, can anyone, please, PLEASE tell whoever is driving this bus – to bloody slow down!
Eh...okay, maybe if he can keep at the same speed until the coming Wednesday is over though – apparently, I am due for quite a behaviour modification session with HH...

You are so right, time moves so quickly when we want it to slow down, but so incredibly slow when we are waiting for a good hard spanking.
I can get locked into the work cycle too - and it is easy to get very inefficient if you are tired and stressed. Go for a proper lunch each day and smell the flowers ;-)

And time flew since I posted this - and tomorrow morning I have to face the music...eh paddle.

Lunch? I have not taken lunch once for the past four years. I eat breakfast at my desk, lunch at my desk and sometimes, even supper.
Do not know why I pay rent - I live in my office!
